1. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru (5 Aug 1947 -27 May 1964).

Nehru ji was the first prime minister of India after Independence. He is the longest-serving prime minister o India. As we all know there are many prime ministers from Uttar Pradesh. He was also from UP. Nehru was such Prime Minister who died in his office.

Nehru was born on 14 November 1889 at Allahabad UP. He loves the children so that his birthday is celebrated as the Children Day each year. Pt Nehru was the First prime minister of India. He emerged as an eminent leader of the Indian independence movement under the tutelage of Mahatma Gandhi and served India as Prime Minister from its establishment as an independent nation in 1947 until his death in 1964. Nehru was the Son of Motilal Nehru. This prime minister father was a Layer and Nationalist. e was also known as Pandit Nehru due to his roots with the Kashmiri Pandit community.

2. Gulzarilal Nanda ( 27 May 1964 – 9 June 1964)

Nanda Ji was the second prime minister of India. He was born on 4 July 1898 in Punjab British Govt. Nanda Ji was the economist along with most popular Politician. His name comes the second Position in Indian Prime ministers list. If we talk about the list of the pm of India his name can not be ignored from history because of his contribution for nation.

3. Lal Bahadur Shastri ( 9 June 1964- 11 January 1966)

After Nehru Ji Lal Bahadur Ji was the most powerful Indian Leader. As a 3rd prime minister of India, he served 2 years. He served as these designation Home Ministry, External Ministry, Railway ministry. He gave the slogan ” Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” He joined India Independence Movement in 1920. And Shastri Ji was influenced by Gandhi Ji.

Before becoming the prime minister he supported to Gandhi Ji for Independence Movement. He was the first Railway Minister of Nehru Cabinets. He was a loyal leader of the Congress Party. 4. Indira Gandhi Ji (24 January 1966 – 24 March 1977)

She was born in Allahabad now Prayagraj. she was a very famous prime minister and first lady Prime minister of India. she has applied many stick rules. Indira was such Prime minister who was State women of Indian Congress. Gandhi was the Daughter Nehru and she became first female prime minister of India along with longest-serving prime minister of India.

Indira was very successful prime minister after her father Nehru ji. Gandhi Ji belongs brahmin family from Allahabad. She was appointed as president of Congress party while Nehru prime minister of India. She was also nominated as Rajya sabha sadasy. As Prime Minister, Gandhi was known for her political intransigence and unprecedented centralisation of power.

5. Morarji Desai ( 24 March 1977 – 28 July 1979)

Moraji Desai was the very famous prime minister of India After Indira Gandhi. Before becoming prime minister of India. He was an Independence Activist. Morarji was the 4th prime minister of India. He was born in February 1896. Before getting a post of the prime minister of India. He served as Home Minister, Finance minister along with Chief Minister of Bombay state. Morar Ji also served as Deputy chief minister of India.

He managed many ministries while Indira Gandhi Cabinet. While that time he was a very old person as prime minister of India at 84. He lived a long life 99 years later he died. Mainly he was from Gujarat. form more information.

6. Charan Singh (28 July 1979 – 14 Jan 1980)

Charan Singh full name was Chaudhary Charan Singh. He was born in Noorpur Uttar Pradesh at western UP. Chaudhary Charan sigh was the 5th prime minister of India born in 1902. He came from Jat Family UP. He involved in Independence Movement and Impressed by Gandhi Ji. In British Govt he went jail two times.

Overall he was a very famous and active political leader. He was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh as Non-Congress. He was very famous in Farmers.

7. Indira Gandhi (14 Jan 1980 – 31 October 1984)

Rajiv Gandhi was the Son of India Gandhi and grandson of Jawahar Lal Nehru. He got political education from his ancestors. He was the youngest Prime Minister of India. Rajiv was a very active political leader at his era. He managed the congress party properly after Indira Gandhi.

He married to Sonia Gandhi and has two children Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi. Overall he has done much wonderful work for India. His father name was Firoz Gandhi. He joined the politics after his younger brother died. He came from London after listing his brother death.

9. V.P Singh ( 2 Dec 1989 – 10 Nov 1990)

V.P. Singh was the 7th Prime minister of India. His full name is Vishvnath Pratap Singh and was born 1931 and died 27 November 2007. He was the Indian politician along with Government official. Singh ji took the charge as prime ministers of India on 2 December 1989.

V.P. Singh had taken the oath after Rajiv Gandhi. His birthplace was Allahabad now Prayagraj. Most people say that Allahabad has given many prime ministers to our country. During his service period, he took serious actions.

He served as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Finance minister of India around 3 years. He died at the age of 77 in New Delhi.
