DSSSB ASO Exam Pattern 2026

The DSSSB ASO selection process follows a two-tier examination structure. Tier I is qualifying in nature and is used only for shortlisting, while the final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of Tier II performance.

Tier II Exam Pattern (Merit-Based)

Tier II consists of two parts:

Part 1 – Objective (200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours): Covers the same subjects as Tier I but at a higher difficulty level.

Part 2 – Descriptive (English writing skills): Includes Essay writing (50 marks), Letter/Application writing (25 marks), and Precis writing. This section tests official drafting, formal communication, and administrative writing abilities.
