CTET Syllabus

Every year, lakhs of candidates take this exam for the post of teacher in govt schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS). CTET Selection Process 

In the CTET Selection Process,s there will be 2 papers. Candidates who want to become teachers for classes 1-5 have to give CTET Paper 1, and CTET Paper 2 is for becoming a teacher for classes of 6-8. Candidates will get an option to choose any two languages, language 1 and language 2.

CTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern

The CTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern is as follows: 

1. There will be a total of 5 sections in CTET Paper 1: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Science.
2.  The exam will be done in online mode, computer-based exams 
3. Each section contains 30 MCQs (150 total questions) for 1 mark each 
4. There will be no negative marking.

The CTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern is as follows: 

1. In CTET Paper 2, there will be 4 sections from which the questions will be asked: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, and either Mathematics/Science or Social Studies
2. The exam will be done in online mode, computer-based exams 
3. Each section contains 30 MCQs (150 total questions) for 1 mark each 
4. There will be no negative marking.
