Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) releases the IBPS Clerk Syllabus along with the IBPS Clerk Notification every year. IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2025
IBPS Clerk Exam is one of the toughest exams in India. Lakhs of candidates appear every year in this exam having a dream to get selected in the clerk position. The exam has two stages, the first stage is Prelims and candidates who will clear this stage can appear in the second stage which is Mains. Check the stage wise IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern below.
IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern
IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam will be held in online mode. There are three subjects in the prelims: English Language, second Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Each paper will have a time limit of 20 minutes and overall 60 minutes (which is 1 hour) will be provided. The prelim exam contains 100 and each correct answer will give you 1 mark and every incorrect will be deducted.25 Marks. Further details are given below.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2025
In the Mains exam there will be 4 papers- General/ Financial Awareness, English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. There will be 155 objective type questions for 120 minutes and they will be held for 200 marks. The section-wise duration for each paper is given in the table below.
